Deepak Agarwal (former DM, Moradabad) took charge as the new acting CEO of the Greater NOIDA Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) in a recent bureaucratic reshuffle. A 2000 batch IAS officer Agarwal has replaced Rama Raman (IAS:1987:UP) who was holding both the responsibility of CEO and Chairman of GNIDA. The indications are clear that sooner or later UP Govt would regularise Agarwal as CEO, GNIDA; probably by January 2016. He will have to carry out the responsibility as Additional CEO as per the order issued on September 22, 2015.
Agarwal is known to have well versed with the intricacies of administrative and developmental affairs as previous stint he had served as District Magistrate, Gautam Budhdh Nagar. He had well faced the tough time while being in GB Nagar when he was hit by a bullet during farmer’s agitation at Bhatta Parsaul.
