One may not like to call it a mere coincidence as the NaMo administration on 6 October announced the appointment of three women officers from three different services as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission on a lateral shift basis.
- Ms Sindhu Pillai (IPS:2001:AGMUT), presently Director in the Department of Financial Services (CSS post), was also appointed as Director, CVC on a lateral shift basis for a period up to 29.12.2022 (i.e. combined tenure of 7 years).
- Ms Shipra Sharma (lPoS:2002) as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on a lateral shift basis for a period up to 01.03.2023 (i.e. combined tenure of 7 years). Presently, she is working in the Ministry of Shipping as Director.
- Ms M Janaki (IAS:2005:AP), presently, Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (CSS post), appointed as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (Non-CSS post) on a lateral shift basis for a period up to 11.09.2021, extendable up to 11.09.2023 (7 years) on availability of cadre clearance.
