New Delhi (31.12.2020): If some well-placed sources are to be believed the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) is expected to endorse the empanelment of the 1989 batch of IAS for holding Secretary and Secretary Equivalent posts in Govt of India. Reportedly, the file pertaining to the empanelment has been with the Prime Ministers Office (PMO) which be cleared by the ACC anytime now. It may be underlined that approx. 39 IAS officers are under consideration for empanelment, though the final number may be relatively small. Further, it is learned that altogether three IAS officers belonging to the 1987 and 1988 batch are also being considered for Secretary level empanelment.
