• New Delhi (22.10.2021): Notifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Friday as follows:-

    The Central Deputation tenure of Khushwant Singh Sethi (IFS:1990:TR), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, was extended for a period of three months beyond 21.12.2021.

  • New Delhi (21.10.2021): The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday cleared the appointment of seven GMs and CGMs to the post of Executive Director in various public-sector banks. The list of officials appointed goes as follows:

    1. Rajneesh Karnatak (CGM, PNB) was appointed as Executive Director in Union Bank of India for a period of three years.
    2. Roy Joydeep Dutta (CGM, Bank of Baroda) was appointed as Executive Director in Bank of Baroda for a period of three years.
    3. Nidhu Saxena (GM, UCO Bank) was appointed as Executive Director in Union Bank of India for a period of three years beginning 01 .02.2022.
    4. Kalyan Kumar (CGM, Union Bank of India) was appointed as Executive Director in Punjab National Bank for a period of three years.
    5. Ashwani Kumar (CGM, PNB) was appointed as Executive Director in Indian Bank for a period of three years.
    6. Yadav Ramjass (CGM, Bank of Baroda) was appointed as Executive Director in Punjab & Sind Bank.
    7. Asheesh Pandey (CGM, Union Bank of India) was appointed as Executive Director in Bank of Maharashtra for a period of three years w.e.f. 01.01.2022.

  • New Delhi (20.10.2021): Notifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Wednesday as follows:-
    • Mehmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS:1993) was assigned with the additional charge of the post of Managing Director, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited for a period of three months ending 31.12.2021. Presently, he is working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The post fell vacant after K K Pathak (IAS:1991:BH) was prematurely repatriated to cadre state (Bihar). 

  • New Delhi (14.10.2021): Notifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Thursday are as follows:-

    • Ms Rohini R Bhajibhakare (IAS:2008:TN) was appointed as Private Secretary to Mrs. Annapurna Devi, Union Minister of State (MoS) for Education for a period ending 27.11.2023. Presently, she is working as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education.
    • The additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy to K Sanjay Murthy (lAS:1989:HP) during the period of absence on leave of Ms. Anita Karwal (lAS:1988:GJ) from 15.10.2021 to 24.10.2021. Presently, Murthy is Secretary, Department of Higher Education.  



  • New Delhi (14.10.2021): Ngulkham Jathom Gangte (IFS:1994), has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Libya with residence in Tunis while Nagma Mohamed Mallick (IFS:1991) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Lithuania with residence in Warsaw.

    At present, Nagma is Ambassador of India to the Republic of Poland while Gangte is Ambassador of India to the Republic of Tunisia. Both the officers are expected to take up the assignment shortly.

  • New Delhi (13.10.2021): Notifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Wednesday are as follows:-

    • Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava (lAS:1993:AGMUT) as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on a lateral-shift basis for the balance tenure of her Central deputation i.e. up to 02.11.2023. Presently, she is working as Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs.
    • Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak (lAS:2008:MN), Deputy Secretary in the  Department of Personnel and Training, was laterally shifted to Prime Minister's Office for the balance period of his deputation tenure of four years i.e. up to 20.01.2025.
    • Rajesh Kumar Sahu (IRS C&CE::2010) was laterally shifted from the Department of Tourism to Prime Minister's Office for the balance period of his deputation tenure of four years (i.e. 04.06.2024). Presently, he is Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.


  • New Delhi (12.10:2021): The NaMo administration on Tuesday effected a major Joint Secretary level reshuffle. The list of officers reshuffled goes as follows:

    1. Ritesh Chauhan (IAS:2005:HP) was appointed as CEO, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Joint Secretary, Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, for a combined tenure of seven years ending 22.09.2023. He replaces Ashish Kumar  Bhutani (IAS:1992:AM)
    2. Vipul Bansal (IAS:2005:KN) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, for an overall tenure of five years up to 18.01.2022. Bansal replaces Keshav Chandra (IAS:1995:UT). Bansal’s tenure may further be extended for two additional years on the availability of cadre clearance from the State Government.
    3. Ms Uma Nanduri (IFS:1993:OR) was appointed as Joint Secretary, the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Secretariat under the Ministry of Culture, for a tenure of five years.
    4. Amitesh Kumar Sinha (IRAS :1997) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a combined tenure of seven years ending 09.10.2023. He replaces Gopala Krishnan S (IAS:1991:TN)
    5. Sameer Shukla (IAS:2005:KN) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services for an overall tenure of five years ending 21.02.2023. He replaces, Madnesh Kumar Mishra (IRS IT:1990). Shukla’s tenure in DFS may be extended for another two years subject to the cadre clearance.
    6. Ms Saumya Gupta (IAS:2004:TR) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, for a tenure of five years.
    7. Ashish Kumar (IAS:2005:TN) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for an overall tenure of five years ending 27.08.2022. Ashish replaces PK Srivastava (IAS:1988:AM). His tenure may be further extended for another two years subject to cadre clearance from State Government.
    8. Harish Chandra Chaudhary (IFS:1992:AM) appointed as Joint Secretary, NHRC under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years vice  R K Khandelwal (IAS:1989:BH)
    9. Kuldip Narayan (IAS:2005:BH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for an overall tenure of five years ending 20.08.2024 vice Amrit Abhijat (IAS:1995:UP)
    10. Ms Vandana Kumar (IDAS:1992) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy for a combined tenure of seven years ending 21.07.2023 vice  Amitesh Kumar Sinha (IRAS:1997).
    11. Pawan Kumar Sain (IAS:2005:UT) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister, NITI Aayog, for a combined tenure of seven years ending 24.07.2022. He replaces Ms Sumita Misra (IAS:1990:HY).
    12. N Yuvaraj (IAS:2005:AP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals for a combined tenure ending 04.11.2023 vice Navdeep Rinwa (IAS:1999:UP)
    13. Ms Meera Mohanty (IAS:2005:HP) was appointed (in-situ) as Joint Secretary, Prime Minister's Office, for a combined tenure ending 01.05.2022 from the date of assumption of the charge of the post by temporarily upgrading the post of Director to JS level.

    • Amit Khare (Retd lAS: 1985: JH) was on Tuesday appointed as Advisor to the Prime Minister in Prime Minister's Office initially for a period of two years on a contract basis.
    • Hoshiar Singh (ITS: 1994) was on Tuesday prematurely repatriated to parent cadre i.e. Department of Telecommunications. Presently, he is Registrar, Copyright Office under the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
