- Rohit Kumar (IAS: 1997: RJ), Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog, has been repatriated to his parent cadre on the request of Government of Rajasthan with imposition of extended 'cooling off.
- Sajjan Singh Yadav (IAS: 1995: AGMUT), Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has been repatriated to his parent cadre on the request of Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Anuradha Thakur (IAS: 1994: HP), Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Expenditure from 04.06.2026 to 14.06.2026 during the period of absence on leave of Vumlunmang Vualnam (IAS: 1992: MN).

- NEW DELHI (02.06.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet appointed five General Managers and one Additional Member (Planning), Railway Board from the various services of the Indian Railway Service to the ex-cadre posts for the panel year of 2026. - Sanjay Chilwarwar (IRSSE: 1997), Joint Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds with imposition of extended 'cooling off' condition.
- Tenure of Dipti Mohil Chawla (IDAS: 1995, Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence, has been extended for a period of one year beyond 06.05.2026 i.e. up to 06.05.2027.
Tenure of Ram Singh (IAS: 2008: AM), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, has been curtailed to enable him to join the Department of Sports as Secretary, Sports Authority of India, for an overall tenure of five years i.e. up to 24.05.2027.
- Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat (IPS: 1998: GJ) has been appointed as ADG in SPG for a tenure up to 20.05.2027, by temporarily upgrading the post.
- Sanjay Singhal (IPS: 1993: UP), Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been granted Apex pay scale (Level-17 in the pay matrix) w.e.f. 01.06.2026.
- Tenure of Mahatme Sandeep Namdeo (IAS: 2010: TR), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been extended for a period of one year beyond 09.05.2026.
NEW DELHI (01.06.2026): The Supreme Court of India has appointed five new judges, recommended by the SC Collegium. The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, posted the announcement on X, stating that the appointment has now brought the Supreme Court closer to its newly expanded sanctioned strength of 38 judges.
President of India Droupadi Murmu has given her ascent to these names. The names of the new judges are as follows:
- Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab and Haryana
- Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, Chief Justice, High Court of Bombay
- Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Chief Justice, High Court of Madhya Pradesh
- Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh
- Venkita Subramani Mohana, Senior advocate
