New Delhi (18.10.2021): Apparently to expand NDA’s base in south India where the BJP is unable to do much is coercing YSR Congress to join the NDA bandwagon. Is YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy under pressure to join the NDA? Union minister for social justice and empowerment Ramdas Athawale reiterated his offer at a meeting in Vijayawada for Jagan to join NDA. With the BJP having limited scope in northern India, Jagan could be a better bet as he is going strong in the state. Athawale offered that the Centre would not interfere in the formation of three capitals for Andhra Pradesh. Even during the recent reshuffle of the cabinet, Modi and other senior BJP leaders reportedly asked Jagan to consider joining the NDA.
