New Delhi (04.09.2021): The Chhatisgarh administration aims at attracting $50 billion investment in the state through a Global Investors Meet in January 2022 nicknamed “Investgarh Chhattisgarh”.

For this purpose, the Chhattisgarh Commerce and Industry Department has hired an international consultancy firm Eduvision India Private Limited which has coined the brand name 'Viexpoindia'.

The state administration wants to attract investments in agriculture, mining, heavy engineering and fabrication, green energy as well as pharmaceutical and automobile sectors.

In this context, Australia's High Commissioner to India, Barry O'Farrell, met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to discuss the possibilities of mutual cooperation in the socio-cultural sector and also talked about investment, especially in mining, infrastructure, steel, forest products, and environmental protection.

Officials said during the meeting, the Australian ambassador showed keen interest in the schemes being implemented by the Chhattisgarh government.

He also appreciated the state government's efforts on the prevention of coronavirus infection in the state.
