New Delhi (13.01.2025): Following the appointment of Maruthi Prasad Tangirala (IP&TAFS: 1990) as Whole-Time Member in TRAI, the Department of Financial Services (DFS) has now three Joint Secretary level posts to offer to empanelled ones awaiting their turn.
Tangirala is serving as Additional Secretary in DFS; a JS-level post that was upgraded to AS-level. He was scheduled to retire in May this year and now he may shortly embark on his journey with TRAI.
Pankaj Sharma (ICAS: 2000) has already completed his tenure as JS, DFS on December 31, 2024 and awaiting an extension for six-months.
It may be underlined that another JS-level post has been lying vacant forsince over six months in DFS vice Mukesh Kumar Bansal (IAS: 2005: CG). One more JS-level post will fall vacant after Sameer Shukla (IAS: 2005: KN) will complete a three-months extended term in in May this year.
