DOPT: Union Home Secretary AK Bhalla gets additional charge

1788New Delhi (31.08.2021): The NaMo administration on Tuesday assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT) to union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla (IAS:1984:AM) till the appointment of a regular incumbent. The DOPT post fell vacant on the superannuation of Deepak Khandekar (IAS:1985:MP) on 31.08.2021. It may be underlined Bhalla’s tenure as Home Secretary was recently extended for a period of one year.
