New Delhi (22.11.2021): A former IPS officer Bharati Ghosh has been appointed as the national spokesperson of the BJP, who had joined the BJP in 2019 after her retirement. She was appointed the vice president of the state unit the same year. This is a move of the BJP to retain its leaders from losing to TMC which is poaching BJP leaders to make the party leaderless in the state. But this is also viewed that with the increased presence the voice of Bengal should now be heard at all levels. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista is also national spokesperson of the party.
