New Delhi (13.09.2021): Yet another change in the leadership in the BJP-ruled state with first-time MLA Bhupendra Patel taking over as the new chief minister of Gujarat due to the apparent threat of losing power in the state in 2022. All surveys and reports in the state were suggesting that under the present leadership, it was difficult for the BJP to sail through. Working president of the GPCC Hardik Patel is not only aggressive but young also to corner the BJP that he had shown in 2017 polls when he was not even eligible to contest the election. Now, he is ready to hit the BJP hard and Patidar votes decide the fortunes of any political party in Gujarat. The BJP is in its fifth consecutive term in the state, so the change in leadership has been a good strategy to negate anti-incumbency for the BJP so far. But will the BJP succeed again?
