New Delhi (23.08:2021): The NaMo administration on Monday effected a major Joint Secretary rank reshuffle that includes fresh appointments, appointments on lateral shift basis awhereas many of them prematurely repatried to parent cadre. The list of officers reshuffled goes as follows:

  1. Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla (lAS:1995:BH) appointed as Joint Secretary Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a tenure of five years. She replaces Vivek Aggarwal (lAS:1994:MP).
  2. Priya Ranjan (IFS:1998:RJ) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a tenure of five years. He replaces Atish Chandra (lAS:1994:BH)
  3. Pramod Kumar Meherda (lAS:1997:OR) appointed as Managing Director, National Food Security Mission (NFSM) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He also gets the additional charge of Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Neeraja Adidam (IFS:1990:UP).
  4. Abhay Kumar Singh (lAS:2004:BH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation for a combined tenure of seven years upto 30 August 2022; a newly created post in the newly carved out ministry.
  5. Ms Kavita Garg (IDAS:1999) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH for a tenure of five years vice PN Ranjit Kumar (IPoS:1993)
  6. Ms. Kavita Singh (lAS:2004:PB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat for an overall tenure of five years upto 15 March 2025.
  7. Vibhu Nayar (lAS:1990:TN) appointed as Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) under the Department of Commerce for a tenure ending 31 October 2025. He replaces Rajesh Agarwal (lAS:1994:MN).
  8. Madnesh Kumar Mishra (IRS IT:1990) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture for a combined tenure of seven years ending 31 May 2023 vice Ms. Nirupama Kotru (IRS IT:1992)
  9. Dinesh Kumar (lAS:2004:NL) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for an overall tenure of five years ending 06 December 2025. He replaces Ms. Nidhi Chhibber (lAS:1994:CG).
  10. Sanjay Kumar (IA&AS:1995) appointed as Additional FA & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance) for a tenure of five years. He replaces AN Das, IDAS (1991).
  11. Vedveer Arya (lDAS:1997) appointed as Additional FA & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance) for a tenure of five years vice Subir Mallick (IA&AS:1989).
  12. Peeyush Kumar (lAS:1997:AP) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Sandhya Bhullar (lAS:2003:GJ).
  13. Sreekanth T (lAS:2004:UT) appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for an overall tenure of five years ending 25 June 2023.
  14. Shailendra Singh (IFS:1997:TR) appointed as Deputy Director General (DDG), UIDAI, HQ, New Delhi under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a tenure of five years vice Laxmi P. Rao Yarram (IFS:1986:MH).
  15. Ms. P Bhanumati (lSS:1996) appointed as Deputy Director General (DDG), UIDAI, RO, New Delhi under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a tenure of five years. She replaces Pradeep Kumar (IFoS:1995:SK).
  16. Neelesh Kumar Sah (IA&AS:1997) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for a tenure of five years vice Ms Richa Sharma (lAS:1994:CG).
  17. Ms. Neeraja Adidam (IFS:1990:UP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers for a combined tenure of seven years ending 28 July 2023 vice Partha Sarthi Sensharma (lAS:1994:UP).
  18. Partha Sarathi Das (IA&AS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years vice EK Majhi (lAS:1989:KL).
  19. Ms. Vandana Jain (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for a tenure of five years Sunil Sharma (IRPS:1985).
  20. Ms. V Hekali Zhimomi (lAS:1996:UP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms. Rekha Shukia (IRS IT:1989) who prematurely repatriates to parent cadre (CBDT).
  21. Purnendu Kishore Banerjee (ISS:1993) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education for a tenure of five years viceSanjay Kumar Sinha (IFS:1993:JK).
  22. CG Rajini Kaanthan (lAS:2004:HY) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for an overall tenure of five years ending 08 November 2021. He replaces Satyendra Garg, (lPS:1987:UT)
  23. Ms. Sreyashi Chaudhuri (CSS) appointed as Advisor, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under MHA for a tenure of five years. She replaces Sandeep Poundrik (lAS:1993:BH).
  24. Kunal Satyarthi (IFS:1997:HP) appointed as Advisor, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a combined tenure of seven years ending 04 February 2026. He replaces Ramesh K Gantha (lAS:1993:PB).
  25. Dhananjay Kumar (lDAS:1993) appointed as Director (Finance), NSG-Cum-Financial Advisor, CRPF under MHA for a combined tenure of seven years ending 31 July 2024. He replaces Sanjeev Mishra (ICAS:1988).
  26. Ms. Roopa Mishra (lAS:2004:OD) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for an overall tenure of five years ending 02 February 2025 vice Vinod Kumar Jindal (ICoAS:1988).
  27. Pankaj Kumar Singh (IDAS:1994) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for a tenure of five vice Manish Thakur (lAS:1998:AM).
  28. Ms. Mercy Epao (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for a tenure of five years. She replace Sudhir Garg (IRSEE:1986) who prematurely repatriates to parent cadre.
  29. Srinivas Danda (IRS IT:1992) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of five years vice S K Dev Verman (lAS:1988:MN).
  30. KS Rejimon (ISS:1998) appointed as Joint Secretary, NITI Aayog for a tenure of five years from Jitendra Kumar (lF:1987:UT).
  31. Kundan Kumar (lAS:2004:BH) appointed as Adviser, NITI Aayog for a combined tenure of eight years ending 03 February 2023. He replaces Parag Gupta (lAS:1988:OD).
  32. Ajay Kumar Kanojia (CSS) appointed as Additional Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under the Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure up to his superannuation on 30 June 2026. He replaces Atul Singh (lPS:1995:AP).
  33. Ms. Radhika Rastogi (lAS:1995:MH) appointed as Joint Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) under DoPT for an overall tenure of five years ending 27 March 2023. She replaces Manoj Ahuja (lAS:1990:OD)
  34. Raghuraj Madhav Rajendran (lAS:2004:MP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power for an overall tenure of five years ending 30 November 2022 vice Vivek Kumar Dewangan (IAS:1993:MN)
  35. Vishal Kapoor (IRSME:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power for a combined tenure of seven years ending 09 September 2022 vice Tanmay Kumar (lAS:1993:RJ)
  36. Ms. Shruti Singh (lAS:2004:PB) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIlT) for an overall tenure of five years ending 18 March 2023.
  37. S K Jha (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue for a tenure of five years Vice Sudhir Kumar (CSS).
  38. Karma Zimpa Bhutia (IFS:1997:JH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for a combined tenure of seven years ending 24 April 2024. He replaces Prashant Kumar (IFS:1985:MP).
  39. Amit Kataria (lAS:2004:CG) appointed as  (CG:2004) as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for an overall tenure of five years ending 02 July 2022. He replaces Ms. Leena John (lAS:1994:UP). 
  40. Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh (IP&TA&FS:1992) appointed as Joint Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) for a combined tenure of seven years ending 03 August 2023. He replaces Ms Smita S Chaudhri (lA&AS:1990).
  41. Rakesh Gupta (lAS:1997:HY) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure of five years vice L K Meena (CSS).
  42. Ms. Tripti Gurha (IRTS:1993) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms Aastha Saxena Khatwani (ICAS:1991) who prematurely repatriates to cadre.
  43. Nitesh Kumar Mishra (ICAS:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces Asit Singh (IRS IT:1990) who repatriates to cadre i.e. CBDT.
  44. Ms. Seema Sharma (IRTS:1994) prematurely repatriates to parent cadre. Presently, she is CVO, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
  45. Dr Nipun Vinayak (lAS:2001:MH) prematurely repatriates to parent cadre. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare to his parent cadre.
