New Delhi (06.08.2021): The outgoing Director-General, Indian Coast Guard, K Natarajan was on Thursday elected as the next Executive Director, Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ED of ReCAAP) Information Sharing Centre, Singapore. Natarajan, the Indian candidate, received 14 votes out of a total of 21 member countries of ReCAAP and thereby secured a two-thirds majority. Natarajan is expected to take charge ED, ReCAAP charge in early 2022. Natarajan took over as DG on July 01, 2019, replacing Rajendra Singh.
