New Delhi (28.06.2024): The desperate BJP seems to be looking at any chance of bringing back Shiv Sena (UBT) to the NDA fold and speculation once again got wings when Devendra Phadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray stumbled upon each other in a lift in Vidhan Bhawan in Mumbai on Thursday. However, both the leaders have downplayed this chance meeting as not only Thackrey earlier denied any possibility of him going back to the NDA but recent disdainful statement about the NDA government by Sanjay Raut saying that there is an undeclared emergency in the country that needs to be toppled first. If this is a wishful thinking of the BJP and its supporters or something serious is really cooking up between them is still premature to say. However, the BJP is keen on winning over its old ally on two counts; first to strengthen the Central government and second to better its prospect in Maharashtra. Will Thackery join a sinking ship in Maharashtra or bank on old ally where he has the chances of becoming CM once again?
