New Delhi (13.04.2021): To further ease Exim business with quick access to information, Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday launched DGFT's ‘Trade Facilitation’ Mobile App through an online video conference. The App has the following features: While launching the App Goyal said the DGFT App reflected the government's commitment to move towards paperless, automated processing systems, simple procedures for trade players, online data exchange between departments & digital payments & acknowledgments. Lauding the initiative of DGFT, he said the organization truly stood for implementing the PM's vision of Digital India through its e-issuance of certificates and the QR scan process to validate documents. These will reduce transaction cost and time for imports and exports related processes, and usher in transparency. He said that ‘Trade Facilitation Mobile App’ is a symbol of India’s idea of Aatmanirbharta – Making governance easy, economical & accessible, as it symbolizes a shift in traditional thinking. The App will be available on Android and iOS platforms. The App can also be downloaded from the DGFT Website (https://dgft.gov.in). It has been developed by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), as per the directions of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
