New Delhi (17.11.2021): A three-day conference of DGP is organised in Lucknow from November 19, 2021 in which a host of decorated IPS officers will participate and the conference will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The list of DGPs includes 68 officers of the rank of DGs, including Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang (IPS: 1986: AP). DG National Security Guard (NSG) MA Ganapathy (IPS: 1986: UK), is credited for designing the country’s first octagonal police station to help combat Naxal menace.
DG National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Atul Karwal (IPS: 1988: GJ), who has scaled mount Everest and during his last stint as director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). DGP Telangana, MM Reddy (IPS: 1986: Telengana) is credited with the introduction of the first complete CCTV surveillance during his stint in Hyderabad. DGPs of all the 28 states and central armed forces will be in the city for three days.
