Chennai (08.05.2021): Hours after the newly-elected DMK returned to power, the MK Stalin Government on Friday issued transfer orders and postings of some senior IPS officers. Accordingly;

• S Davidson Devasirvatham (IPS:1995:TN) was posted as ADG, Intelligence, Chennai. Presently, he is posted as Commissioner of Police (ADG), Coimbatore City.
• Shankar Jiwal (IPS:1990:TN) was posted as the new Chennai Police Commissioner replacing Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal (IPS:1994:TN). Presently, Jiwal is ADGP, Armed Police, Chennai.
• P Thamarai Kannan (IPS) was posted as ADG Law and Order (Chennai) vice Dr K Jayanth Murali (IPS:1991:TN). Presently, he is working as ADG Police Welfare, Chennai.
