The Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday (21.10.20) promoted four IPS officers (1989 Batch) to the post of DGP and posted at various DG rank posts:
- P Kandaswamy (IPS:1989:TN) promoted as Director General of Police and posted as Special Director General of Police, Administration, Chennai.
- Md. Shakeel Akhter (IPS:1989:TN) promoted as Director General of Police and posted as Special Director General of Police, Enforcement, Chennai.
- Rajesh Das (IPS:1989:TN) promoted as Director General of Police and posted as Special Director General of Police, Law & Order, Chennai.
- Braj Kishore Ravi (IPS:1989:TN) promoted as Director General of Police without prejudice to his deputation with the Government of India.
