Chennai (11.11.2021): After a dozen IPS officers were put in the services to deal with the flood situation in Tamil Nadu, now the government has appointed ten IAS officers as coordinators to supervise and take preventive measures during the northeast monsoon.

MSME secretary V Arun Roy (IAS: 2003: TN) has been designated as coordinator for Cuddalore and Chidambaram. Prohibition and excise commissioner J Jayakanathan (IAS: 2005: TN) and civil supplies corporation managing director S Prabhakar (IAS: 2009: TN) are coordinators for Trichy and Erode, respectively. School education commissioner K Nandakumar (IAS: 2005: TN) is coordinator for Vellore and town panchayats commissioner R Selvaraj (IAS: 2005: TN) has been designated for Ranipet district.

Tamil Nadu Maritime Board vice-chairman and CEO K Baskaran (IAS: 2005: TN) is designated for Nagapattinam while treasuries and accounts commissioner T N Venkatesh (IAS: 2005: TN) and Sports Development Authority member secretary R Anandakumar (IAS: 2005: TN) are coordinators in Madurai and Tiruvallur, respectively.

Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation managing director Anil Meshram is coordinator for Ariyalur in addition to Perambalur. Backward Classes director C Kamaraj (IAS: 2003: TN) will oversee Virudhunagar
