VRS of ED Jt Director accepted, may contest UP Assembly elections

2345New Delhi (09.01.2022): Following the acceptance of the VRS request Dr Rajeshwar Singh, Joint Director of Enforcement Directorate (ED), is likely to contest the upcoming UP Assembly elections. Singh had in August last year, applied for the VRS. Six months after his request, the Centre accepted his request for VRS. It is rumored that he might contest the election from Shahibabad though Dr Singh has not made any official statement regarding his VRS and his maiden inning in electoral politics as a BJP candidate. It is believed that he may open up on the issue post-Makar-Sankranti.
