Finally, Prasar Bharti Board gets 04 part-time members

Four Part-time Members have been taken on board with the country’s public service broadcaster, Prasar Bharti namely; former PM Atal Bihar Vajpayee’s media adviser Ashok Tandon, CEO of an online media company Shashi Shekhar, business executive Sunil Alagh and Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota.

These names were cleared by a three-member screening committee headed by Vice President Hamid Ansari, after going through a list of dozen names created by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.

According to the Prasar Bharati Act, the public broadcaster should have six-part time members on its Board which is headed by its chairman. For over a year, four positions of part-time members have been vacant.
