Haryana promotes 06 IAS officers to PS including Khemka

Haryan Government

Six Haryana cadre IAS officers of the 1991 batch were promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary. The surprise inclusion in the list was the name of Ashok Khemka, an officer known for his integrity, who has continued to suffer indifference of the current Haryana government as much as he did during the previous Congress regime.

Indianmandarins has learnt that the state government was more interested in promoting Anil Malik, Vineet Garg, Abhilaksh Lakhi, Apoorva Kumar Singh and Shrikant Walgad than Khemka but since his exclusion would have invited adverse public reaction, so his name was also included. G Anupama of the same batch was granted a proforma promotion as she is currently posted with the Centre.

The previous Congress government in Haryana chargesheeted Khemka for allegedly “wrongly cancelling” the mutation of a land deal between Robert Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality and DLF Universal Ltd. However, despite being in power for more than a year, the BJP administration of the state considered it fit only two months ago to drop the charge-sheet against him, finding “no merit” in the charges.
