Haryana: Top cops may be changed, Deswal & Yadava for DGP & ADG

Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the Haryana BJP government, instead of showing the moral courage to admit its failure in dealing with Dera followers last Friday, may reshuffle senior police officers. The state DGP, B S Sandhu (IPS:1984:HY), is being blamed for the tragic Panchkula events.  May it be noted that Sandhu and his team fared exceedingly well on Monday after CM Manohar Lal Khattar had decided not to let the events of Fridayrepeat themselves.
As part of the reshuffle, two senior IPS officers of Haryana cadre serving at the Centre on deputation may be sent back to the state as DGP and ADG (L&O).
S S Deswal (IPS:1984:HY) may be made new DGP whereas Manoj Yadav (IPS:1988:HY) may be made ADG (Law & Order).  Reportedly, the GoI has given a green signal to the Haryana Govt’s proposal to recall its senior officers from the Centre. Currently, Deswal serves as ADG (Hqrs) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) whereas Manoj Yadav serves as Joint Director (Training), IB HQ. Both officers are reportedly keen on returning to their state cadre.
