MHA observes Vigilance Awareness Week

From this year, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed by all organisations, falling within the purview of the Central Vigilance Commission, from October 26 to October 31, 2015. Since 2000, vigilance awareness has been observed around the first week of November every year. The objective of the Vigilance Awareness Week is to inculcate among government employees a commitment to integrity and transparency in their functioning and dealings with the public at large.
An official announcement said that, to mark the commencement of the Vigilance Awareness Week, Secretary in charge of Border Management Anoop Kumar Srivastava administered the pledge of honesty to officers and employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Department of Personnel & Training in New Delhi on October 26.
