Nation’s 1st woman PCCF, Dr Amarinder Kaur, to take charge today

Dr (Ms) Amarinder Kaur (IFS:1983) becomes the nation’s first woman to get the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF). With her appointment as PCCF, the head of forest department, the Govt of Haryana gives first woman PCCF to the country. Dr Ms Kaur replaces S S Jattan who superannuated as PCCF on October 31.

Prior to this Dr Ms Kaur headed the wildlife wing of the state forest department. In her new responsibility she aspires to ensure people’s participation in natural resource management and women empowerment.
