All preparations have been done to facilitate a Pakistan team’s visit on March 27 to conduct its own probe into the Pathankot airbase attack. Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Thursday told reporters that the team may be allowed to go “wherever necessary” for its investigation work. However, security officials, have clarified that access to the airbase may be subject to certain restrictions. The team may not be allowed to take any photograph of the base, nor it be allowed access to the technical area. They could, however, be allowed to record statements of people connected to the investigation, such as Punjab SP Salwinder Singh, whose vehicle was hijacked by the Pathankot attackers.
