R Dhawan gets additional charge of MD&CEO, Bank of Baroda

Months after keeping the post headless the Department of Financial Services has given the additional charge of MD & CEO, Bank of Baroda to Ranjan Dhawan, the senior most Executive Director at the bank. The post of MD&CEO had fallen vacant in July 2014 after S S Mundra had retired in July 31, 2014.

In his new stint as ED, BoB, Dhawan had replaced Rajiv Kumar Bakshi on November 01, 2012. Prior to joining as ED, Bank of Baroda Dhawan was served as Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank.

In a bid to fill the top positions of five PSBs the DFS invited the application in the last week of February, 2014 namely; Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, IDBI Bank & Punjab National Bank. March 21 has been fixed as the last date for sending applications.
