Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation has picked Sanjiv Chaturvedi (IFS:2004:HY) to honour the award which is considered as ‘Asia’s Nobel Prize’. The former CVO, AIIMS has consistently been in the loggerheads with the political executives in his pursuit of clean and fair administration. He has exposed series of irregularities in Haryana alleging the involvement of Haryana’s mighty (former) CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and then Forest Minister Kiran Chaudhury. Further during his stint at centre as CVO AIIMS the whistle-blower officer uncovered a series of irregularities and unfair-practices and recommended investigation into several cases.

The officer was further removed from the post of CVO in the month of August 2014; three months after the new government took over. Presently he is posted in AIIMS in the rank of Dy Secretary, but reportedly with no specific assignment.
