BJP wants Brahmin candidate from Rae Bareli but wants Cong to decide first

New Delhi (26.03.2024): The BJP is planning to take away the last Congress bastion in Uttar Pradesh – Rae Bareli – by fielding a Brahmin candidate knowing the dominance of the community in the constituency. Several names are doing rounds including deputy chief minister Brijesh Pathak, local MLA Manoj Pandey, poet Kumar Vishwas, Rajesh Dikshit and Nupur Sharma. The party is delaying the declaring as it wants the Congress to decide its candidate first.
