New Delhi (07.07.2021): People say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi runs his government like a CEO where the performance of ministers in the council of minister is paramount to pass on the maximum benefit to people besides other things like political equations and social engineering. This has resulted in dropping as many as 12 minister and bringing in bureaucrats and technocrats for making good governance and delivery a reality. Two former IAS officers RCP Singh from JD (U) in Bihar and Ashwini Vaishnaw of the BJP from Odisha have been inducted into the Union Cabinet while former Union home secretary who was a state minister in the present government has been elevated to Cabinet rank. Similarly Indian Foreign Service officer Hardip Singh Puri too has been given the cabinet rank from state minister. Some technocrats and doctors to have been made part of the council of ministers. Technocrat and Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka Rajiv Chandrashekhar has been inducted as state minister. Devusinh Chauhanfrom Gujarat and Bhagwant Khubo from Karnataka too are technocrats in the newly sworn-in team. Subhash Sarkar from West Bengal, Bharati Pawar and Bhagwant Karad from Maharashtra and Munjapara Mahendrabhai from Gujarat are doctors. They are part of the new team. A few MBA, BCA and other higher education degree holders are also part of the council of ministers.
