New Delhi (11.03.2021): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the Empanelment of IRS officers for promotion to the grade of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for the panel years 2018 (2nd Panel) and 2019 (Regular Panel) w.e.f. the date of assumption of the charge of the post:

It may be underlined that putting the DPC recommendations in ‘sealed cover’ in favour of 26 officers, out of which 09  officers have already retired on attaining the age of superannuation or under 56 (J), promotion of 17 junior-most officers were cleared 'ad hoc' basis till the sealed cover cases would be finalized.
