The Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday (21.10.20) promoted four IPS officers (1989 Batch) in the rank of Director General (DG) and posted them as Special DG:
- P Kandaswamy (IPS:1989:TN) posted as Special Director General of Police, Administration, Chennai
- Md Shakeel Akhter (IPS:1989:TN) posted as Special DG, Enforcement (Chennai)
- Rajesh Das (IPS:1989:TN) posted as Special DG, Law & Order (Chennai)
- Braj Kishore Ravi (IPS:1989:TN), presently Security Adviser, IOCL (on Central Deputation) promoted to the rank of DG.
