Search sets off for new CBI Chief; 06 names on track

The search for suitable officer as befitting new CBI Chief is going to be a challenging chapter for the new government at centre. Ranjit Sinha, the incumbent Director CBI, is set to complete his two years tenure on December 02 this year. The search process sets off as government is believed to have constituted a panel of six officers which includes; Abhyanand (IPS: 1977: BH), Krishna Chaudhary (IPS: 1979: BH), Sharad Kr (IPS: 1979: HY), Arup M Patnaik (IPS: 1979: MH), Anil Kr Sinha (IPS: 1979: BH), K P Raghuwansi (IPS: 1980: MH). Earlier, names like S S Dayal (IPS: 1977: MH), Prakash Mishra (IPS: 1977) were considered as befitting officers for the job but rest remains a puzzle only.
