New Delhi (06.01.2021): Indianmandarins has learned that a Secretary level post in the Cabinet Secretariat may fall vacant soon as Dr V P Joy (IAS:1987:KL), Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat, may repatriate to the parent cadre in a couple of days.

Joy's repatriation is being linked to Chief Minister P Vijayan's desire to pick Dr Joy as the next Chief Secretary in view of the incumbent retiring on 28 February 2021. As part of the process to familiarize Dr Joy with his CS job, he may be first drafted as OSD in the Govt of Kerala before formally taking over the charge from Chief Secretary Dr Vishwas Mehta (IAS:1986:KL).
