New Delhi (17.02.21): IIS officer Jaideep Bhatnagar (IIS:1986) has been appointed Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB). His term will begin on March 1, 2021. Currently, he is posted as OSD at the PIB Headquarter in New Delhi and also holds the post of Principal DG of All India Radio's (AIR) News Services Division.

Bhatnagar's appointment is part of the latest I&B Ministry's repositioning of IIS officers in different wings. 

Under the new scheme of things, N. V. Reddy will take charge from Bhatnagar as PDG of AIR's NSD; and Satyendra Prakash, besides holding the office of DG BOC, will hold the additional charge of Press Registrar, RNI, New Delhi.

Mamta Verma is transferred from the post of ADG, PIB, New Delhi and working in IIMC, New Delhi will function only as ADG, PIB, New Delhi.

Shamima Siddiqui is posted as ADG, PIB, New Delhi (on the strength of PIB, Mumbai).

M. Devendra is transferred from the post of Director, PIB, Bengaluru, and posted in the Publications Division Bengaluru on the strength of PIB Bengaluru.

Manikant Thakur is transferred from the post of Deputy Director, DD News, New Delhi, and posted as Chief of Media, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi (against a JAG post).

Abhishek Kumar is transferred from the post of Assistant Director, PIB, Jammu, and posted as Assistant Director (News), RNU, DDK, Bhopal, against the post of Deputy Director.

Rajeev Kumar Rustagi is transferred from the post of Assistant Director (News), DD News, New Delhi, and posted as Assistant Director, PIB, New Delhi.

Manoj Roorkiwal is transferred from the post of Assistant Director, PIB, New Delhi, and posted as Assistant Director (News), DD News, New Delhi.
