Patna (19.12.2022): The Bihar government has appointed Rajvinder Singh Bhatti (IPS: 1990: BH) as the new Director General of Police of the state. The incumbent DGP Sanjiv Kumar Singhal (IPS:1988:BH) is retiring today. He may have a tenure as DGP till September 2025 i.e. date of superannuation. Alok Raj (IPS: 1989: BH) and Shobha Ahotkar (IPS: 1990: BH) were also in the race for the post of DGP.Previously, Bhatti worked as CVO, Airports Authority of India (AAI), and as Joint Director, CBI.
