New Delhi (01.08.2023): Former CBIC Chairman Vivek Johri (IRS C&IT: 1985) was given farewell on Monday
evening leaving the Board headless. Insiders say that this has been
unprecedented in the recent past as no one was assigned additional charge as an
ad hoc arrangement for the post of Chairman. Though the Selection Committee meeting held on 26 July considered names
of Rajiv Talwar (IRS C&IT: 1988) and Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (IRS C&IT:
1988) for the coveted position but the final call over appointment is still
