Chandigarh (05. 06. 2023) Haryana DGP P K Agarwal (IPS: 1988: HY) refused to accept extension in the services, so the government initiated the process of choosing his successor. The state government wanted to give a six month’s extension to Agarwal.The government has prepared a panel of 8 IPS officers to send it to UPSC for shortlisting three names. The list includes 4 DGP and 4 ADGP rank officers. These officers are Dr R C Mishra (IPS: 1989: HY), Mohammad Akil (IPS: 1989: HY), Shatrujeet Kapoor (IPS: 1990: HY), Desh Raj Singh (IPS: 1990: HY), O P Singh (IPS: 1992: HY), Alok Kumar Roy (IPS: 1991: HY), S K Jain (IPS: 1991: HY) and Ajay Singhal (IPS: 1992: HY).
