New Delhi (21.05.2021): The group of former civil servants from the All India and Central Services, which has named itself as the Constitutional Conduct Group, believes that the NDA administration has been 'casual' in its approach and attitude to handling the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a letter to PM Narendra Modi signed by 116 of its members, the group expressed its "anguish as well as anger" over "the manifestly casual attitude of your government to the magnitude of the crisis and its implications for the mental and physical health of the community of Indians".

The letter repeats its previous allegations against the GoI of whittling down federal principles and welfare programs. It advises the government, among other things, to go for a free vaccination drive, allow foreign funds for NGOs to flow in, stop central vista construction, and release the state's GST share.
