New Delhi (01.09.2022): Swinging a surprise the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) under the Ministry of Finance extended the Central Deputation Tenure of fifteen senior Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials up to seven years whereas denied extension to four. 
It may be noted that the CBIC gives ED an edge by reserving ED’s right to retain or relieve Surendra Kumar Malik* (2010 batch) who was recently appointed as Joint Development Commissioner in Noida SEZ under the Department of Commerce. Contrary to the list (of extension/Non-Extension) it may further be underlined that the ACC has already extended the tenure of Satyabrata Kumar (IRS C&IT:2004) in ED and accordingly he would continue in ED up to October 2025.
The list of ED officials (IRS C&IT) given extension goes as follows:-
  1. Rohit Dwivedi (2008 Batch), Joint Director- Extension up to 29.03.2026
  2. Sudesh Kumar Sheoran (2009), DD- Up to 02.01.2024
  3. Rohit Anand (2010 Batch), Deputy Director (DD)-  Extension up to 25.03.2025
  4. Amit Bhasker (2010), DD- Up to 28.09.2024
  5. Jasmeet Singh Dhandra (2010), DD- Up to 26.08.2025
  6. Daulat Kumar (2010), DD- Up to 10.10.2024
  7. Kapil Yadav (2010), DD- Up to 07.05.2024
  8. Rajesh Kumar Jain (2010), DD- Up to 12.12.2023
  9. Mir Umair Nabi (2010), DD- Up to 02.05.2026
  10. Ravindra Joshi (2010), DD- Up to02.11.2024
  11. Surender Malik (2010), DD- Up to 12.08.2025
  12. Ms Aprajita D Naharya (2011), DD- Up to 08.11.2027
  13. Sanjay Bangartale (2011), DD- Up to09.11.2023
  14. Jasvir Khichar (2011), DD- Up to 27.11.2003

The denial of the requests for extension-in-deputation-tenure/NoC to three officers includes:-
  1. Ranjan Prakash (2005), Joint Director 
  2. Amit Kumar Mishra (2010), Deputy Director
  3. Shalinee Sharma (2010), Deputy Director
It may be underlined that CBIC is expected to extend the deputation tenure of Subodh Kumar (IRS C&IT:2011), Deputy Director, ED up to 7th year.
