New Delhi (27.03.2023): The Government of India has started
the process of appointing Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer in
the Indo-Russian Rifle Private Limited (IRRPL), the post which is all set to
fall vacant on completion of term of service of Major General Sanjeev Sengar.
He was appointed CEO of IRRPL in 2019 for a four-year period ending April 2023. The Ministry of Defence on Monday advertised the vacancy for
the key post to be filled on Deputation/ Contract basis. Applications have been
invited from candidates working in Central Government including the Armed Forces
and officers from All India Services, CPSES, SPSES and Private Sector
Companies. It may be underlined that IRRPL, a joint venture between
India and Russia, has been manufacturing AK-203 assault rifles at Korwa
(Amethi, Uttar Pradesh) under the Make in India initiative. The IRRPL was set up in 2019 jointly between with erstwhile
OFB [now Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) and Munitions
India Limited (MIL)] of India and Rosoboronexport and Kalashnikov of Russia.
