541May 10, 2021: As a token of its gratitude to the people and help them overcome the Xi Jinping Corona Virus, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has absorbed all handling costs for the berthing of MV. GSF GISELLE of AXS service that has brought 80 tons of medical oxygen in the cryogenic state from the UAE. “JNPT along with its stakeholders continue to play an important part in the supply chain and we are committed to the growth of the nation’s economy by delivering its duties during these challenging times," said JNPT Chairman Sanjay Sethi, IAS. Despite the pandemic, the premier port trust has maintained its steady surge in cargo handling. In April 2021, JNPT handled 468,015 TEUs versus 283,802 TEUs during the same period in the previous year, recording a growth of 64.91 %.
