New Delhi (29.03.2025): Lots of speculations have been made on the issue of the appointment of new national president of the BJP. But now it appears that the time has come for the BJP to announce the name of the new leader of the party as there is a meeting of the top party leaders scheduled for April 10, 2025 in Delhi.
Highly placed sources informed Indianmandarins that BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda, General Secretary (Organisation) B L Santosh, General Secretaries, Chief Minister of BJP-ruled states and Deputy Chief Ministers belonging to the BJP where the party is in alliance with its partners are likely to meet on the day in Delhi to take pigeon out of the hat.
The matter was elaborately discussed in Bengaluru Pratinidhi Sabha of the RSS where Nadda and Santosh communicated with the RSS leadership especially with Sarkaryawah (General Secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale and Sahsarkaryawah (Joint General Secretary) Arun Kumar who is in-charge of the BJP. They have reached upon a consensus on the name of the new party president. So, the meeting on April 10 is to inform party functionary and discuss other nitty gritty.
There is a truth in the reports of some of the YouTube channels and media outlets that the new president will be a complete RSS man but it is untrue that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will not have any say in deciding the name and the new president will be instrumental in regime change in the BJP. On the contrary, the new president is likely to be Modi’s shadow in the party.
More than a dozen names have already been discussed from a woman president to Dalit to a president from south India but as things are moving towards the final outcome, it is most likely that either a former chief minister close to the RSS or former Union minister is likely to get the opportunity.
On being asked, the BJP media department is denying any such meeting on April 10. However, sources said, “They have a role reversal now and instead of disseminating information about the organisation and developments there, the role is changed to hold back information till they are officially announced by the party. Moreover, most of the time they get information from the media itself.”
With Hindu new year starting from March 30, 2025, it is not only auspicious occasion but politically correct to announce the name of the new president.
