New Delhi (05.03.2025): If stampede at New Delhi Railway station in which over a dozen passengers died has caused embarrassment to the government, it has cost the job to DRM Delhi/Northern Railway Sukhwinder Singh (IRSEE). After the dust on the matter has settled down, the government appointed Pushpesh R Tripathi, NFHAG/ IRSEE, North Central Railway as DRM Delhi/Northern Railway replacing Sukhwinder Singh. The matter is being investigated and after report is submitted some more head may roll as there were apparent mismanagement on the station despite the department knowing influx of passengers due to Prayagraj Kumbh very well.
