New Delhi (25.06.2024): Less than a week ahead of the retirement of the incumbent Odisha Chief Secretary Pradip Kumar Jena (IAS: 1989: OD) the Centre has repatriated Union Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja (IAS: 1990: OD) to his Cadre state. Reportedly, Ahuja would be appointed the next Chief Secretary in the BJP-led Government in Odisha. Jena was slated to retire on 31 December 2023 but he is set to complete his extended tenure on 30.06.2024.Ahuja is an upright and thorough professional civil servant and he is considered close to the top decision-maker at the Centre and thus supposed to set things right for the newly elected BJP-led government in the state.
