• New Delhi (04.02.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:-
    • Sagar Singh Kalsi (IPS: 2010: AGMUT) was appointed as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for a period of five years.
    • Monika Rani (IDAS: 2010) was appointed as Director in the Department of Justice for a period upto 01.01.2028 i.e. five years combined tenure on ex-cadre and CSS post. 
    • Sajjansingh R. Chavan (lAS: 2008: TN) was prematurely repatriated to Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion. Currently, he is working as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration (DCO/DCR).

  • New Delhi (03.02.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Monday are as follows:-
    • Uma Nanduri (IFoS: 1993: OD) was prematurely repatriated to Cadre to avail the benefit of promotion in the cadre. Currently, she is working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. 
    • Bibhuti Bhushan, currently working as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Union Minister for MSME (Jitan Ram Manjhi), was prematurely repatriated to Cadre (AAI) with “extended cooling off”. He is Assistant General Manager (Air Traffic Service), Airport Authority of India (AAI).  

  • New Delhi (01.02.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Saturday effected a major Joint Secretary level reshuffle by appointing seventeen officers from various services, batches and cadres to Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level posts. The appointment of a regular CEO of the National Land Monetisation Corporation draws attention.  
    The list of newly appointed joint secretaries goes as follows:
    1. Rajesh Lakhani (IAS: 1992: TN) was appointed as Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) under the Department of School Education & Literacy, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.05.2029 vice Vinayak Garg (IRSEE: 1995).
    2. Manish Thakur (IAS: 1998: AM) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, for a tenure of five years vice R Jaya (IAS: 1995: TN).
    3. D Anandan (IAS: 2000: SK) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, for a tenure of five years vice Amit Singh Negi (IAS: 1999: UD).
    4. Vijay Nehra (IAS: 2001: GJ) as appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, for an overall tenure of five years up to 31.10.2028 vice P Ashok Babu (IAS: 2003: AM).
    5. Vikas Anand (IAS: 2002: UT) was appointed as CEO, National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) under the Department of Public Enterprises, for an overall tenure of five years up to 16.02.2028. Currently, Vasundhara Upamanyu (IRS IT: 1992) holds the additional charge of CEO, NLMC.
    6. Petal Dhillon (IRTS: 2002) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, for a tenure of five years vice Anant Swarup (IRPS: 1992).
    7. Abhinav Gupta (IRS C&IT: 2004) was appointed as Additional DG, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Department of Commerce, for a tenure of five years. He replaces S C Agarwal (IRS C&IT: 1994).
    8. Santosh Kumar Verma (IRSS: 1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Director in the Department. He replaces Vineet Mathur (IPoS: 1994) 
    9. Samar Nanda (IRS C&IT: 2004) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, for a tenure of five years vice Mugdha Sinha (IAS: 1999: RJ).
    10. Dr Madhu Rani Teotia (IAS: 2008: UT) was appointed as Additional CEO, National Heath Authority (NHA) for a combined tenure of 7 years i.e. up to 04.10.2027 vice Basant Garg (IAS: 2005: PB).
    11. Sanjay Mehrishi (IOFS: 1991) was appointed as Joint Secretary, National Health Authority (NHA) till his superannuation on 30.06.2027.
    12. Praveer Kumar (IA&AS: 1999) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), for a tenure of five years vice Deepak Agarwal (IAS: 2000: UP).

    17. Dr Shankari Murali (lCAS: 1991) was appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Space, for a tenure up to her superannuation on 28.02.2027. He replaces M Maheshwar Rao (IAS: 1995: KN) by temporarily downgrading the vacant post of AS&FA.

    • Rajnesh Singh (IRSME: 2003) has been appointed as CVO, Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL), Delhi under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, for a period up to 21.03.2028.
    • Naveen Kumar (ITS: 1994) has been appointed as CVO, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL), Delhi/ NCR under the Ministry of Power, for an initial period of 3 years.

  • New Delhi (31.01.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:-
    • Vineet Vinayak (IPS: 1995: SK) has been appointed to the post of Additional Director General (ADG) in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for a period of five years.
    • Rajeev Singh Thakur (IAS: 1995: RJ) was appointed as Adviser, NITI Aayog in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post and extending the central deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond 03.12.2024. Currently, he is Additional Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
    • The central deputation tenure of Santosh Kumar Yadav (IAS: 1995: UP) was extended for a period of two years beyond 17.02.2025 i.e. up to 17.02.2027. He is Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
    • Arshad Ayub Sheikh (IAS: 2013: UT) was appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure upto 31.10.2028 (i.e. till the date of his superannuation).
    • Ragul K (IAS: 2012: SK) was appointed as Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Southern Region, Chennai for a period of four years.
    • Namrata Gandhi (IAS: 2013: CG) as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat for a period of four years.
    • Shweta Teotia (IAS: 2011: GJ) and Priyanka Das (IAS: 2009: MP) were appointed as Deputy Director in LBSNAA, Mussoorie for a period of five years.

    • Post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship held by Amit Meena (IAS: 2011: KL) has been redesignated as Director in the same ministry for a period up to 30.03.2026 i.e total tenure of five years. His central deputation tenure is w.e.f. 30.03.2021.
    • Post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare held by Poonam Meena (IRS C&IT: 2011) has been re-designated as Director for a period up to 26.01.2027 i.e. total tenure of five years. Her central deputation tenure is w.e.f. 27.01.2022.

    • Ajaneesh Kumar (IFS: 1996), presently Ambassador of India to Estonia, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Argentine Republic.
    • S R H Fahmi (YOA: 2008), presently Director in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Togolese Republic.
    • Deputation tenure of Neethu Kamal (IPS: 2008: CG), DIG, CBI, has been extended for a period of two years from 26.03.2025 to 25.03.2027 (7 years in total).

    • Deputation tenure of Abhinav Khare (IPS: 2009: KT), DIG, CBI, has been extended for a period of two years from 23.03.2025 to 22.03.2027 (7 years in total).

    • R Prakash (IPS: 2008: OD) has been inducted to the post of DIG in CBI for a tenure of five years.
