It is no longer unsual for PESB to interview single candidate and select for the board level position. Kishor Rungta, on Tuesday, appeared before the public-sector headhunter for selection interview for the post of CMD, Fertilizers & Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT) and got selected as well. Currently Rungta serves as Director (Finance), Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL).
The CMD post (FACT) fell vacant after the then Secretary V S Pandey had in November 2016 recommended the suspension of Jaiveer Srivastava. Later the NaMo administration had appointed Madras Fertilizer Ltd (MFL) CMD A B Khare as FACT CMD for a period of six months. It may be mentioned that NaMo administration had sanctioned a revival package worth 1000 Cr to Udhyogamandal (Kerala) based fertiliser company FACT right before the Kerala Assembly Elections.
