This announcement has been made just before the Bihar Assembly Elections of 2025, causing a stir in the political corridors of the state. Lande resigned from the Indian Police Service in September last year, after which there was speculation in his politics.

Apparently, Lande seems to be toeing the line of K Annamalai (Retd IPS: 2011: KN), Tamil Nadu BJP president, who was a Karnataka cadre IPS before joining the BJP. The only difference between them is that Lande launched his own party while Annamalai joined the BJP but both are talking Hindutva politics.
