Bhubaneswar (09.04.2025):Manoj Kumar Parida (Retd IAS: 1986: AGMUT) has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner of Odisha. Parida, who previously served as an Insurance Ombudsman in Bhubaneswar for a three-year term, brings extensive experience to his new role.
Parida retired from Government of India as Secretary, National Authority Chemical Weapon Convention and also worked as Chief Secretary of Chandigarh and Adviser to Administrator.
Besides Parida, three Information Commissioners too have been appointed -- Pranabindu Acharya, a retired IPS officer; Kalpana Pattnaik, an advocate from the Orissa High Court; and Pabitra Mandal, a retired IAS officer.
