Advertisement of SAIL Chairman post puts speculations to rest

New Delhi (09.11.2022): The public-sector head-hunter (PESB) on 09.11.2022 announced the vacancy of the post of Chairman, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL); a post that is scheduled to fall vacant on 30.04.2023 on the retirement of Mrs Soma Mondal. PESB has sought applications from experienced candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility for the post by January 18, 2023.
Until November 09, a section of top executives across Central PSUs was a little surprised over the delay of the advertisement of the Chairman post. In a normal course, PESB invites applications approx 10-11 months ahead of the vacancy. 
This section speculated the possibility of an extension to Mrs Mondal but the advertisement of the vacancy finally puts speculation to rest.
